Relationships in the Community
Many of us have been touched by those people that we interacted with in the Jerusalem Community. Sometimes close friendships were forged. Many learned to see things from a new perspective. We learned that we have more in common with others of different cultures than we do differences. Sometimes we just got a good laugh.
Here are some of those stories…
Friendships with the Staff
In the Jerusalem Center, the students are so lucky to interact each day with the most wonderful staff. Students often form friendships with cooks, security guards, and so many others. This is such a unique opportunity to really know the people of the Holy Land and to understand their perspectives and cultures. Some of these friendships endure for years.
These students share their unique friendships.
The Scriptures Became Real
So many have felt it. Through the course of living and studying in the Holy Land, these moments happen where suddenly you understand the reality of the scriptures. The land testifies of the truthfulness and reality of the scriptures and the Savior. It’s hard to miss, particularly at the Sea of Galilee.
These alumni talk of their realization that the Savior and the scriptures are real.
