BYU Jerusalem Center Alumni Announced

2021 Winter - BYU Jerusalem Center Alumni Announced

In November of 2019, former Fall 1993 Jerusalem Center Student–April Giddings Cobb, met with Jim Kearl, Debra Peterson, and Brent Top to propose an alumni organization for the Jerusalem Center former students, Faculty, Service Couples, and their families. The inspiration for this organization centered around the purpose of reminding those affiliated with the Jerusalem Center of their testimonies, friendships, and lessons learned in the Holy Land. Plans were proposed to continue to teach and learn, collect stories, and to present opportunities for giving back. All involved saw potential and meaning in the project. Approval was granted by BYU President Kevin J Worthen in January 2020 and soon after by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland.

April Giddings Cobb was named Chair of the Jerusalem Center Alumni board, naming Amy Anderson Perry as Vice Chair, Brent Top as Faculty Liaison, Camilla Anderson Wright as Treasurer, and Emily De Schweinitz Taylor as Secretary.
