The lease was finally signed and has an addendum in which the Church and BYU agree that there will be no proselytizing activity and the building will be used for educational purposes.

Upon receiving occupancy permits from the Jerusalem Municipality, faculty and students move into the lower portion of the partially finished Jerusalem Center. The 80 students on the Winter program learned from President Jeffrey Holland that they should pack their things because they would be moving from Ramat Rachel into the Jerusalem Center the next day. And so they did.
