1968 Summer

In May of 1968, the first group of 20 BYU students went on a study abroad to the Holy Land under the direction of Daniel Ludlow and his wife, Luene. A “traveling branch” of the church was organized, with Ralph Benson serving as Branch President. Special thanks to Louise Benson for providing the materials for this page.

If you were part of the inaugural group in 1968, please send us any additional stories, group photos or memory books. Email these to stories@byujerusalemalumni.com

If a Facebook group exists for 1968, please send us the link so that we can help you connect with others from your semester.
