This BYU Magazine article from the summer of 2000, just before the Center was to be closed from the student program due to unrest in the region. The Center reopened for the Winter 2007 program. This article tells a bit about the history of how the Center came to be but mostly gives a wonderful overview of what it is like to live in the BYU Jerusalem Center to experience the Holy Land through the BYU program.
