Center Reopens After Pandemic

2022 Spring - Center Reopens After Pandemic

After a two-year closure, the Jerusalem Center welcomed a new group of students in April 2022. While many new procedures were in place as precautionary measures, the students had a full semester and a unique experience as they navigated the post pandemic restrictions in the Holy Land.

The program grew from 84 students to 92, and the program included out of country field trips to Jordan and either Greece, Turkey, or Egypt.

By the reopening, the entirety of the building (other than the library and dome theater) had been remodeled. By May 2023 the library was also remodeled, including a window that was added where visitors can see into the library from the entrance of the building and students can study with additional natural light. The dome theater is scheduled to be remodeled by 2024.
