Joy in the Garden Tomb by Jennifer Pulsipher Johnson

I remember going down to the Garden Tomb with just three other students. I must have been the Sabbath because no one else was there. The rain made everything more tangible and heightened all of my senses. I bent over to go through the little door to enter the borrowed tomb of our Savior. I sat in silence and a glorious warmth flooded me and the spirit pierced my soul. I knew I was forgiven of all my sins and my heavenly father loved me so very much. I was deeply impressed that Christ had lived, suffered and died on this earth and that He lives today for all of us and for the people in all the worlds Heavenly Father has created. The Atonement is infinite. Christ was born to this earth because it is the most wicked and will also be the most righteous. Sitting in the garden tomb and realizing all of this in that moment was so incredible. My spirit soared.  I’ve never felt such joy and I will never forget that experience. When we take the time to listen and have righteous desires the Lord blesses us beyond our understanding.
