We were fortunate to hear solos by Jamie Baer Peterson.
Soprano Jamie Baer Peterson is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and began her operatic career as an apprentice with the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Her time with LOC led her to perform leading roles throughout the United States, Canada, and France singing with many Opera Houses, including L’Opera de Nice, Santa Fe Opera, New York City Opera, Central City Opera, Utah Festival Opera, and Minnesota Opera. Jamie is also a frequent soloist with oratorio societies and orchestras throughout the US and has sung at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Town Hall, and in two national broadcasts with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Jamie has taught voice for over 25 years and is currently on the Music Theater faculty at the University of Utah. She and her husband Mark recently moved to SLC after 30 years in New York City and New Jersey where they raised their three children.
